Drum Production Stills
Filmed over the course of two years, DRUM is pure Redfish Son! WorldANGLING comes home to Southern Louisiana to fly fish for North America's most popular saltwater gamefish. On the bayou, Will and Dave rendezvoused with other Crew Members, met some of the locals, ate lots of oysters, and caught piles of Reds! Will and Dave lived at the end of the world for 6 weeks in 2009 in pursuit of MonsterReds. And that meant living with the Holemans! Featuring Travis and Bryan Holeman, Greg Arnold, Cappy and Dr. Sanchez, DRUM is about the wild Louisiana marsh, it's inhabitants, and why it's worth saving.
made for the Drake Magazine video awards 2009
In case you didn't already know, saltwater fly fishing here in South Florida is a contact sport! And our latest film, SLAM, will let you feel it about as much as you'd feel a whack in the face! Filmed in our back yards here in Key West, the Everglades and the Bahamas during the 2009 season, SLAM focuses on all the major species we target: Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Redfish and Snook. This film portrays the most important aspects of Saltwater fly fishing. Beginning with what it looks like when you first see them coming in, to the adrenaline rush you feel when you hook up, to the heartbreak of watching them get away, and finally, the joy of releasing them to swim free. There's no waxing poetic about the meaning of it all, we'll let you figure that out for yourself, we just bring the goods and showcase the coolest fish in the world. We don't have a big budget, or a helicopter, just an incredible natural resource and a passion for what we do. For all of you out there that get it, and want more, WorldANGLING gives you SLAM!
2008 Drake Magazine “Best Fishing” video
"Clearly a Tarpon is the most exciting fish to catch on fly, but, I'll tell you, this Permit fishing game is a total obsession...you never seem to be happy until the next time you catch one!" Anyone who has fly fished for these amazing fish knows exactly what I'm talking about. But, maybe I should have added, "and you've never been more upset than when you loose a big one next to the boat!" I suppose that could apply to just about any fish anywhere, which is the real beauty of Connected. In 2008 we brought the raw, adrenaline pumping action that typifies saltwater fly fishing here in the Keys to life for the audience at the annual Drake Magazine Video Awards. Everyone who's ever watched Connected, understood the emotion behind the f-bombs being dropped by Capt. Bill Houze as he lost a giant permit next to the boat. We showcased some amazing Tarpon and Permit footage, fished with the legendary Jan Isley, rocked the house, and walked away with the 2008 "Best Fishing" Award.
